Yesterday, I decided that it was time to start some larger paintings. I bought a lot of canvas art paper and it was all cut up and waiting to be used. I decided on 8" x 6" size as that can easily be posted without a trip to the post office. I am quite pleased with the results..what do you think?

we have been snowed in all weekend but now after some rain this morning, the road is almost clear. I think we are still expecting some snow flurries but hopefully they won't stop people getting out and about. It enabled me more time at home to paint....so here are the results of my time in the warm....

The predicted snow has arrived and it is at times like this that I am glad that I am retired and don't have to try to get to work. I am sure that a lot of our neighbours will be staying home too and I have noticed that some of them have left their cars down on the main road as driving up here is out of the question. My daughter took her car down last night , and as I type is trekking down there to check on it and then she will phone work to make sure that the centre (where she works) is going to be open....or there would be no point in her trying to drive through the blizzard. She was so nervous that she left 45 mins early.
I managed to get some painting done yesterday and here are the results.

It was very cold today and the ice on the car was at least 1/2" thick..took ages to be able to see through the windscreen.....I had to take the car for an MOT and service....passed for another year. Of course I spent all day waiting for the garage to ring and so I couldn't settle to any painting. However, here are some that I did yesterday....

Been a busy few days and I have been sorting out all my paintings ready for list. The daily listing on Folksy seems to be helping as I sold two yesterday so all in all the start to the Year has been good.....

Today I painted a commission. The lady who asked for it had already bought two of my fantasy bookmarks and wanted a painting to hang on the wall.

Today I listed this cartoon greetings card for people who ate too much chocolate over the holidays.......I am NOT guilty of course and fortunately look nothing like the cartoon....phew...

today I did some ink paintings. I mounted them onto black card with a deckle edge, then I mounted that onto  white cardstock. I decorated insert  for the cards and made an envelope to go with each one.

Today I decided to do some more one stroke painting. I did two aceos and then decided to make them into greetings cards.....I think they look quite nice

A Happy New Year to anyone who actually reads my blog....not sure if anyone does....lol...
The year started off with blue skies and sunshine....how nice that was after all the rain we have had lately.
I had a nice new art book for Christmas and so today I decided to play with some new techniques....
I did 4 paintings and the sunset coloured one was using colour washes.......
