It has been a while since I posted any of my paintings and yesterday I decide to paint a landscape.
I mounted it onto quality card stock so that it can be sent as a card but kept and framed after receiving it.

I have lots of yarn stashed away in cupboards and I really need to use some of it up. I think that one day I will open the door and get buried under bags of yarn, never to be seen again.....
I am still knitting but also doing some small amounts of crochet.
I have to be careful to look after my hands and wrists so I am mostly knitting.
I bought some lovely random yarn and knitted this baby cardigan....I liked it so much that I did another one in different colours.
.

Both use the same pattern (my own) but each one looks different because of the yarn ......
I am now thinking of making some Christmas items for babies.
I intend now to stick to baby knitwear and knitwear for young children.

well it has been a few months since I wrote on my blog. Unfortunately my wrists started getting painful and so I have had to give the crochet a rest. I also had cupboards full of unsold items because I was making items so quickly.
That being the case, I have decided to return to my love of knitting.
I spent many years making and selling jumpers at craft markets in Uxbridge , (Greater London)
I loved those days.
I no longer have my machine as manual dexterity also posed problems.
However, I find that I am able to knit without any problems, so recently, I have been knitting and offering my knitwear for sale in my Folksy shop
www.folksy.com/shops/teabreaks
.
I now have something that I can happily do during the evenings.
I paint during the day but when the light fades, it is difficult to see the colours as I paint in miniature.
I have recently made a few entrelac cardigans as I love this technique...sooooo....here are a few pictures to bring up to date, what I have been doing....

It has been a couple of week since I last wrote my blog. Life has been hectic one way and another. I have sold quite a few paintings and so I have been working hard to make more stock.
I had a few problems with My Hermes failing to collect parcels which is a great shame as having items collected from the house enabled me to be able to list as sell larger works of art. In the winter I find it difficult to get to the post office and I thought that My Hermes would be the answer to my prayers. However when you book a collection and no one has been by the Friday you realise that you just cannot keep good customers waiting so now I have decided to only paint items that will fit into the local post box. If the weather is bad then I can manage to walk to our box, even though it is a good 10 minute steep hill walk.
I have a birthday this week and reach.....wait for it....70 !!! I am always being asked what I would like and so I now have a Sizzix BigShot plus machine and have told all the family to buy me dies for this machine. With that in mind, I have now decided to put more cards in my etsy and folksy shops and also put some on ebay as well.
I have been busy making cards as well as painting.......Making cards also gives a break from trying to decide what to paint. Sometimes staring at a blank canvas can be difficult !
Here are some of my cards and some of my recent paintings.
All of them are for sale... my shops are

well I have had a busy few days.....playing with my new die cutting machine and trying to incorporate my art work into the images that I have cut out.......I have also done some painting.
On the die cut flowers, I cut them onto plain white paper and then painted each one with watercolour and varnished them before assembling them into the flowers.
They were then stuck onto card stock.
here are a few examples.

this last week I have been playing with my new die cutting machine. I have held back from getting one for many years as I still had the original red sizzix machine and was loathe to just "dump" it. However, people no longer made the big fat dies and so I decided that I would like a new one.
My lovely hubby agreed to treat me to one and I settled on the Big Shot plus because it takes all sizes and makes of dies.
Being a rebel I really didn't want to churn out items like everyone else did and so hubby also treated me to some lovely flower dies from Sheena Douglass. You can buy co-ordinating rubber stamps to go with the dies but that is NOT my style. I cut out the petals and leaves for the flowers and decided to paint each one by hand. that meant that each one would be unique with different markings and colours. I made one up into a greetings card and it sold straight away....
I made another one and first I painted a background with acrylic paints. I wanted my cards to be artistic and different. That one sold straight away as well. I am now in the process of making a few more.
As I paint a lot of landscapes, sometimes I need a change and so I decided to paint a few of my cartoon cards and am in the process of making a few more.
