Saturday 26 May 2018

I have had a very busy time with sales, which is always good and encourages me to keep painting. So here are a few more that I have done in the last couple of weeks.

Monday 16 April 2018

well Spring has finally arrived and I have just returned from a few days on the Isle of Wight.
Today I painted this tiny aceo watercolour and also two acrylic landscapes on canvas board.
I get in such a mess with acrylics, paint everywhere....but I will keep practicing.

Wednesday 21 March 2018

Here in South Wales we seem to have missed 90% of the snow that blighted the rest of the UK.
It looked pretty from inside but I would much rather see the Spring flowers and buds on the trees.
I have been doing quite a bit of painting and listing in my shops
www.folksy.com/shops/teabreaks
and
www.etsy.com/shop/teabreaks.

I also have an ebay shop.
Here are some of the paintings I have done

Sunday 11 March 2018

well March has arrived and with it the snow.
We were lucky that we got away with just a small dusting and that cleared away in a day or two.
Plenty of time to stay in the warm and paint.
I found a picture of a lady that I painted last year but I wasn't happy with her face as she looked very severe.
So I gave her a smile, added some glitter and a few butterflies and now she is much nicer to look at.

Saturday 10 February 2018

The weather has been cold and wet and yesterday a sprinkling of snow...I am glad that I have no need to go outside and thankful that all my groceries can be delivered to my door.....
Last week there were some mixed media Pebeo paints being demonstrated on Hochanda and they looked very interesting.
I decided to invest in some of them and when they came I set aside an afternoon to experiment.
The smell of the paints was very strong....message to self......next time , wait for summer and paint outside.
The finished painting has a vague look of stained glass windows and shines.
These paints have a mind of their own and no matter what you put down on canvas or paper, is NOT the end result, so it is a case of wait and see. The paints take overnight to dry and what you painted is not what you find the following day.
A very interesting experiment though and here is the first result....

Thursday 1 February 2018

the first signs of Spring are here...lots of buds on the bushes and the daffodils are showing above the ground. My Bluebells are also 6" high and don't usually flower until May....everything seems early this year.....
I have been busy painting and sales have been higher than every which spurs me to paint more.
Today the sun is shining, even though it is cold . I can see across Swansea Bay to Devon.
This is the latest of my small format paintings.
This one is just 7" x 5" and in artist quality watercolours.
.
I also found a painting that I started a few years ago and forgot I had...so I decided to finish it off......

Saturday 13 January 2018

well, here we are in 2018...another year and lots of plans and ideas in my head.....
This year will certainly be different to any others that I have had.....With the loss of a loved one, it is time to pick myself up, dust myself off and get motivated.
SO....as well as doing my crochet designs, I need to get more painting done.
I have three online shops...one on ebay...
then one on folksy...
www.folksy.com/shops/teabreaks

and another one on etsy.

www.etsy.com/shop/teabreaks

...this painting was listed on etsy this morning. It is a 7x5 watercolour landscape and is an original and not a print.
It has been inspired by the beautiful scenery around my home in Wales UK....
I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful place and as well as the mountains, waterfalls etc, I have a beautiful sea view across the channel to Devon.....what more inspiration could a girl want.
